I've taken into consideration a lot of what people didn't like about this book as I start, but I'm finding I don't mind the use of a more modern way of speaking. Maybe that's because the book seems to be targeted for a much younger crowd and so the author used terms they'd understand, or maybe because the pace is moving quite quickly and I'm enjoying it so far. Fletcher (our main character) is great. I love that is introverted, makes my hermit heart happy. Also, I'm hoping something terrible is about to happen to Didric.
