Christmas Book Haul
It's been a long running tradition, long before I even thought about having a book related blog, for my family to give me books for Christmas. In the last few years it became a convenience because I fly to family for the Holidays and will have to fly with everything back home. This year because of the new job I had to rely on technology to get to home via Facebook chat. It was still a pretty awesome day despite being so far away. My best friend and I were together and were lazy, and we both flipped through Doctor Who: the Vault while coloring in the coloring books my mom bought the both of us. My family got me three pretty cool books this year and two of which have made it to the top of TBR read pile.
This one has been on my list for a while now, and I've bought it for a couple of my fellow Whovian friends. I have never picked up for myself. It might have to be my first read of 2016.
So my Great Grandma always gives the older grand-kids money for things they need. This year mine came with a note to buy the one book I want but have been putting off adding to my stack. I'm saving this for next week for when I have two days in a row off from work.
Our house is filled with fun little coffee table books that we leave floating around. This year was a naughty Victorian Book we found stuffed in a back corner of a bookstore. I'm thinking my mom found us this year's coffee table book.
In other books related news, my Christmas to myself was to sign-up on Wattpad for my own writing. Right now I don't have anything posted, but I'm working on my first chapter to get it edited. My goal is to have something ready for posting if not by the end of January or start of February.
